There will be a State Board Meeting in Albuquerque on Wednedsday July 20th at the state office.  There is a Racing Commission meeting on Thursday July 21st at their office in Albuquerque.

Ruidos held a general meeting today 6/3.  Only 4 trainers and 4 owners were nominated for the committee so there is no need for an election.  Your Ruidoso Committee is:

There will be a general horsemen's meeting on Friday, June 3rd at 10:30 in the Horsemen's Kitchen.
Nominations for track committee members will be taken at that meeting.  If you are interested in running or nominating someone they must have a current Owners or Trainers license.
Voting for the Ruidoso Committee will begin on Saturday June 4th and will run until Sunday June 12th.

From the New Mexico Racing Commission May 18, 2011

"Please be advised that the New Mexico Racing Commission, after receiving input during a recent Medication Committee meeting, will resume testing for Aminocaproic Acid.

If the presence of the drug is detected in a sample provided by a race horse, the trainer may be charged with a penalty assessed with a Class 4 drug."

The State office in Albuquerque will be closed on Friday, May 20th.  The Staff will be in Farmington for the Awards Banquet.  We are sorry for any inconvenience.

The NMHA Annual Awards Banquet will be May 20th at SunRay Park. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at the Horsemen's Office in SunRay or at the state office.

Order early! Limited tickets are available.

Voting for the SunRay Park NMHA Committee will take place at SunRay Park on May 5th through May 8th, from 7:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. in the Horsemen's Office.

Voting at all other tracks will be Saturday May 7th and Sunday May 8th from 12:30 p.m. until the beginning of the 5th race.
