I just sent this editorial to Blood-Horse Magazine thought you would like to read it.
Regret, Genuine Risk, Winning Colors, Go For Wand; Serena’s Song; Ruffian; and Rags to Riches are mares that have winning resumes and are spoken about in hushed and reverent tones, however, they do not have a race record that is 18 for 18.
Peppers Pride a New Mexico Bred mare does, but is relegated to a 5” by 4” article in Blood-Horse magazine 11-15-2008 page 5642.
Is this because she is a New Mexico Bred who races in her state against state bred mares or because she is not a Kentucky Bred?
I will be in Sunland Park on December 14 as I am a native New Mexican to cheer Peppers Pride on to number 19 and a possible page in Blood-Horse proclaiming her a spectacular race mare.
I encourage all New Mexican horseman and horsewomen to be there too.
